Darryl B. Cox serves as Senior Vice President of Disaster Management Services, for The Integrity Group. In this role, Darryl provides subject matter expertise to his clients and staff in the areas of disaster recovery, mitigation, planning, strategy, and operations.

Prior to joining The Integrity Group, Darryl served as the Lead Public Assistance Coordinator for the Florida Division of Emergency Management. This work included management of 1,000s of projects resulting from the unprecedented 2004 and 2005 Florida hurricane seasons. These projects were managed from initial development through final closeout. After 4 years in government service, Darryl transitioned to the private sector focusing his career on consulting and program management, representing many state and local government clients as they navigate the long disaster recovery process. In this role, Darryl has the privilege to guide over 400 local government agencies in areas such as finance, administration, public works, construction, and politics.

Throughout his career, Darryl has remained passionate about solving his client’s challenges with innovative solutions that are often outside the typical siloed approach seen in the industry today. This macro approach utilizing resources spanning multiple government agencies as well as supplementation from the private sector has proven to be most effective and efficient in his client’s long-term recovery and future resilience.

Darryl’s proficiency in business operations is evident in his systems-oriented methodologies that incorporate the newest technology available ensuring key stakeholders have every tool necessary to succeed.

Darryl holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Managerial Economics from the University of South Florida and holds a variety of professional certifications including FEMA’s Professional Development Series (PDS) and Certified Debris Manager (CDM) certifications, as well as an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist and Mangrove Specialist certifications. Darryl is a proud 4th generation Floridian, residing in the Tampa Bay area along with his wife and 3 children.
